Wanda J. O’Neill, 93, of Lynnfield, MA, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2022 and is now reunited in Heaven with her soul mate, James W. O’Neill, Jr.
She was born January 24, 1929 in Everett, MA, the daughter of Alexander and Adelia (Paprowicz) Dyszczyk whom predeceased her. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Frank Louis Dyszczyk.
Wanda was the valedictorian of her graduating high school class and an avid skater at the Bal-a-roue Roller Skating Rink of Medford where she met many lifelong friends and the love of her life, Jimmy. Together, they raised their two children, Steven and Nancy, in Stoneham, MA before relocating to Lynnfield in 1984. She was also the beloved secretary to the vice principal at the Northeast Regional Vocational High School from its opening day until her retirement.
She kept an immaculate home and a meticulously landscaped yard. She was also an accomplished watercolor artist and made long lasting friends at the Melrose Arts and Crafts Society. She enjoyed scenic rides up the New England coast and outings to Richardson’s Farm for milk and ice cream.
She is survived by her son, Steven J. O’Neill, and his wife Cathleen, of Monson, MA, her daughter, Nancy J. Coppin of St. Petersburg, FL, as well as eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by many friends, family and neighbors.
A graveside memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on August 18, 2022 at Lakeside Cemetery in Wakefield, MA.
