Thelma Caroline Floyd Vitiello of died peacefully at Sunrise Senior Living in Burlington, Massachusetts on August 30th, 2020, one week shy of her 105th birthday. Thelma was born on September 6th, 1915 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Thelma met her husband, Dominic Vitiello, in high school and married him soon after graduation. She was the mother of Nancy Larkins of Burlington and the late Shirley Kruskall. Thelma leaves behind six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Thelma led an extraordinary life. Among her many accomplishments was her work as an instructor at the BF Goodrich Company which manufactured the specialized boots for the first lunar expedition. For many years, Thelma worked in the wholesale flower business in Boston, Massachusetts. She retired at age 90. Thelma Vitiello will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was a real lady.
Interment will be in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Burlington. Arrangements under the direction of Anderson-Bryant Funeral Home, Stoneham.
