David F. Roberts

David F. Roberts of Stoneham, Gilford, NH and Deerfield Beach, Florida died November 7, 2021, at the age of 83.  He was the husband of Nancy (Cole) Roberts with whom he had happily  shared 59 years of marriage.  Born and raised in  Stoneham; he was the son of the late Milton E. and Laura A. (Frost) Roberts.

Dave was a graduate of Stoneham High School in the class of 1956.  Following graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served as a Military Police Officer.  Upon his honorable discharge, he returned to his hometown and he joined the Stoneham Police Force, retiring as a Sergeant.

Dave and his family  enjoyed their summer home on Lake Winnipesaukee and their retirement home at Deerfield Beach, Florida.  Dave and Nancy were adoptive parents. They were also foster parents and provided daycare in their home for thirty years.

Dave was the proud father of eight sons, Stephen and his wife Karen, Scott and his wife Denise, Timothy and his wife Karen, Eric and his wife Claudia, John, Sean, Derrick and Ian.  His greatest joy was spending time with his many granddaughters.

Visitation will be at Anderson-Bryant Funeral Home, 4 Common St., Stoneham on Thursday, November 18th, 5:30 to 8:30, followed by a memorial service on Friday at 11:00 A.M.  Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Dover, NH.
