Ellen F. Mcmahon

Ellen F. McMahon, age 92, a long time resident of Stoneham, passed away January 24, 2015. She was the beloved wife of nearly 50 years to the late Frederick McMahon.
Born and raised in Malden, she was the daughter of the late Aquilla and Bessie (Ladrew) Hussey. Ellen was a proud graduate of Malden High School in the class of 1940. For many years, she was employed at Edwards Fine Furniture in Boston as their office clerk and bookkeeper.
Ellen was a “child of the Depression”; she saved, recycled and stored anything that might possibly be of use to someone in the future. She was a wonderful homemaker and a devoted caretaker. She enjoyed gardening and sewing, quilting and crocheting.
She is survived by her sons, Ronald McMahon of Massachusetts, Brian McMahon and his wife Jeannie of Andover and Joel McMahon and his wife Gail of Stoneham. She also leaves her grandchildren, Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel and Matthew, Daniel, Christopher, Jonathan and Heather; 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held Friday at 1 P.M. at Anderson-Bryant Funeral Home, 4 Common St., Stoneham, followed by burial in Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham. Visitation prior to the service, 11AM-1PM. Relatives and friends invited.
